New office to be constructed
Medina Electric Cooperative board members, employees and community
members from the Rio Grande City area gathered early on Tuesday, August 22, to break ground at the site of the cooperative's new Rio Grande City office.
The new office will be located at 601 N. FM 3167 at the intersection of Monarch Lane and FM 3167, near a DPS office and one of the Ideas schools in the area, and will replace the current Rio Grande City office. The project is slated to take 11 months to complete, and the cooperative's goal is to have the office staffed and operational by August of 2018. Cooperative Building Solutions (CBS) is managing the project for the cooperative.
